Week One Wednesday
1:15pm – 1:30pm Direct instruction using power point slide show and printed materials which were provided to each student. In addition to listening to the presentation, students were encouraged to participate by filling in pre-selected blanks on their handouts which corresponded to the slide show presentation.
1:30pm – 1:45pm Students now put away their paperwork and team leaders, who were also randomly assigned, are given a list of discussion questions and points directly related to the topic just presented. Students begin to discuss in their small groups with their main focus being on how they can take the techniques just learned and translate them into workable solutions to their current backgrounds, strengths and areas for improvement.

Group Accomplishments during meeting:
We discussed each others interpretations of the assignment instructions and outlined a plan of action that would help us move through the completion of the project. It was determined that I would give Murat Kalayci the materials we had both received from the instructor so he would have an opportunity to review it and generate preliminary responses to the questions outlined in the workbook and on the instruction sheet for assignment #4.
Independent working assignments:
Individually we were to make an effort to respond as in much detail as possible, to questions from Chapter 11 in the workbook and also from the class handout on assignment #4. After we had each reached the point where we could no longer generate responses to the questions given, we were to e-mail these responses and our questions to one another over the weekend. We each were to review the other’s responses and check them for accuracy while also making an effort to search for the answers to the other’s questions.
