im obviosuly chinese and i understand that almost half of the asian population dont have this enzyme that breaks down alcohol.

i had a few ddrinks with friends, and i just got a really bad, io think it was liek a stomach ache and my face was really red and my heart rate was really fast

water solved the stomach and heart rate problem but, i didnt really feel wasted or anythung

can i for once in my lifetime enjoy what my friends drink lol

those were some allergic reactions, I myself too get red spots all over my body, face, arms etc. when I drink beer or brandy.

I’m not Asian and I get that same reaction from dark rum. My throat closes up, my heart races and I panic sadly enough.

No real sacrifice for me, though. Have you ever tried the rice alcohol soju? My Korean friends are really into it, and from what I understand they formerly couldn’t drink alcohol either.
