this chinese old proverb , do you agree? is it correct?

" evertyhing depends ON how your mind reads iT."

today I had my hair cut in hair salon.

it was relly like a hell, the employee was a new comer.

she really slowly cut my hair.

and there was playing a loud indian music constantly mixed with lousy noise from electric hairdrier or cutter.

it was really nagging and annoying sound

I thought I was going to have nerve breakdown .

I yelled stop that music plz,

they turned down the music.

then I recalled this chinese proverb.

I tried to overcome my inner discomfort I looked at the girl cutting my hair .

I found her sweating with red face.

she was trying so hard.

I could forgive her.

anyway she s done ok.

do you think we can really overcome daily annoying situation or even serious situation as this old chinese words teach?

I agree. Our reactions may differ to a same situation according to your readiness to accept it as good or as bad…

Yes, I do believe we can overcome an annoying situation if we just think about what we’ll say and think about what kind of reaction it will bring.
