    You are being …
You are being pessimistic about it all. There is a chance China could go through extreme changes. Stating they will never come out of extreme communism is closing off all of those chances.
I am well aware of China’s history as well as their modern government, culture, etc.
They aren’t the only country that get away with a lot more than they should.

    Pessimistic? I’m …
Pessimistic? I’m being realistic. If only you knew the China gets away with.

    You’re too …
You’re too pessimistic over the Chinese government. Over the years China has become less communist. Just because the process they’re going through is slow going and fairly noticeable does NOT mean it won’t ever happen. China may not be the best place on Earth to live, but major governements around the world have their faults as well. ALL government systems within the world are currupt in some way, and most are severely corrupt.

    China won’t ever …
China won’t ever become democratic. They pride themselves on being the most successful communist nation ever. That is fine, but when will they fess up to committing human rights crimes against multiple nations? They haven’t so far yet and they’ve been a nation for 2000 years (according to them.) Imperialism is a fallacy that will ruin any nation.

    Yeah I know what …
Yeah I know what you mean, China does have truly terrible human rights. I do pray they have a democratic government or a republic.

    US politicians can …
US politicians can be corrupt. The only difference between the example you’ve provided and the US is that people can speak up about it without being thrown in jail or mysteriously disappear.

    @ kehwa,

    Now this …
    @ kehwa,

Now this is an fact, and I bet some desperate, uber-patriotic people are going to thumb it down.

America was NEVER founded, it was always there and it belonged to the Native Americans – before the Europeans almost wiped them off the face of the Earth.

And there’s no need to be hypocritical, the US government is just as corrupt as the Chinese, Russian, and Middle Eastern political systems.

    The only thing is.. …
The only thing is… there are definitely some ethical concerns by the way the doctor is talking to this man, that everything will go perfectly, he’ll have a new life, etc. etc. That’s not letting this man make an informed decision. I mean, he’s lived 6 years and it is hard for him, but it could get worse, or he could die. That’s his choice to make, but it just seems like the doctor isnt’ being honest about the risk.

“it’s already happened, dummy. Dont you realize how big China’s entrepreneur sector is growing? Business, exporting, personal financing is HUGE in china. That’s capitalism! the independant buying and selling of goods by these mega Chinese corporations… that’s capitalistic behavior!” – wirelessoptical

The fallacy of their economic situation is that they produce without any workers union. This enables employers to abuse their employees by overworking them with low pay. All of this = collapse.
