What points would you be able to prove about Chinese Immigration for an essay?

I need to compile my ideas of Chinese Immigration (the problems and discrimination they faced, their assimilation or acculturation, or their success in banking and business) into an essay question, one that does not have a concrete answer. What points would I be able to prove with this?

Like: In what ways did _______________ of Chinese Immigrants affect _____________.
(Just an example)

Essentially I need a question that states WHY this topic is important, and a point/question to prove with evidence that drives a thesis statement. Help appreciated.
