The Chinese came here for the same reason they have been doing for a long time. To make money because in their country the conditions were very poor.
Well, according to Mark Twain, in the XIX century the people gathered once in a while and hanged a Chinese, just for fun.
They did the work that the yanks didn’t want to do ( I think I have heard this someplace before )
