South Korea – A Tale of Two Faces

This video is about South Korean plastic surgery.

This video lists why Koreans get plastic surgery and one myth listed that non-Koreans think is true but its not.

This video talks about the biggest influence as to why Koreans get plastic surgery.

I mention Western influence and its attraction for Korean women.

I dont mention every plastic surgery South Koreans had. I don’t mention skin bleaching for example and other methods. I mention the common ones though.

I mention why foreigners are flocking to South Korea to get plastic surgery.

Confucianism is not talked about in this video. Rather a form of Confucianism is; that being Neo-Confucianism and its influence in South Korean culture. This is not a history lesson.

This video doesn’t talk about which celebrity had plastic surgery. Save that for the others who bash.

Stats are there for both Korean women and men, but there are more that I didnt include. Since most of you know about them, you can skip it though there is one I find troubling about young Korean teens having babies and giving advice about plastic surgery.

This is about South Koreans getting plastic surgery. This video doesn’t talk about Korean Americans.

Thanks for listening.

More videos to come later.

    Well hopefully they …
Well hopefully they are not trying to look like ugly white girls. The irony is alot of white guys are fed up with our women that hate us. Media friggen ruined this country a long time ago. Media sucks. OMG noooo. Asian women keep your natural beauty. Asian beauty is such a wonderous curiousity to western eyes.

  3. Oh well. Another …
Oh well. Another lost cause. Good bye and read the book.

  4. Suit yourself. I …
Suit yourself. I knew you would fail to see anything. You only insult and act uncivilized to prove your weak debate. You dont get it. Its okay. Dont you know how big anti-American sentiments are stemming for nationalism? Of course you dont. I really hope one you see the truth. Read the book I told you. It might change you mind.

  5. South Korea Im …
South Korea Im talking about. They were crying over his death. South Korea’s social issues deal with nationalism. They eat dog because they want to prove to the US they can get away with it. They want to let the US know that you cant mess with them. Its very nationalist.

  6. South Koreans hate …
South Koreans hate criticism. As individuals they can take it but as a group they will deny you and call you a racist.

    Hey dude why the …
Hey dude why the are you bringing OBVIOUS s? Korean American community felt bad because they identified him as a person of same origin. It’s called Ethnic identity as a minority. You got that stupid? How does this relate to the self destructing Korean society as you claimed it previously? NONE.
Ok buddy, I will simply stop wasting time with you. I just don’t want to lower myself to the level of otaku geek who don’t know yet claim a foothold on basic human logic.
    Good bye~

  8. I mean South …
I mean South Korea’s nationalsim was hurt when this guy commited mass murder. They were crying for him. Their parents disapeared from the map too. When something bad happens in the US concerning Korean Americans, they are always hurt. They have deep sentiments when Koreans commit crimes.

  9. The two Koreas and …
The two Koreas and the great powers
    By Samuel S. Kim

Read that book. Go to the library and read it. It should tell you everything.

    You neve fail …
You neve fail tocrack me up LOL
Cho Seung Hui was a Korean nationalist? His mass murder was based on his PERSONAL problems and issues and had nothing to do with your claim about the “Korean ideology” or the way Korean society function. In fact, He lived in AMERICAN society right? He lived among Americans, went to an American public school, was with American people for the duration of his college life, and purchased an American gun. That event had more to do with American social problems.

  11. What about the most …
What about the most famous mass murderer cho seung-hu. Korean Americans hoped it wasnt a Korean. But it was. Their national pride is big that their former president (who commited suicide because of misuse of money) said “sorry” on behalf of his people. Many South Koreans wept for this guy.

  12. rocketllamafootie on August 12th, 2009 at 8:13 pm

    Korean ideology? …
Korean ideology? LOLL Dude stop making up s. OK sociologist enlighten me please with EVIDENCE instgead of naming names.
As for calling you a Bigot, it’s because YOU simply haven’t provided me with STATISTICS and RELIABLE evidence to support your claim that South Korean is a self detonating time bomb of a society, that is full of hate mongering hypernationalist radical people. OK you sad er?

  13. Most South Koreans …
Most South Koreans treat American troops badly. They dont like black people or any foreigner. They can tolerate whites more though. They like saying “get out of our country” They have resorted to violence in the past but now they just talk trash.

  14. You dont seem to …
You dont seem to know much about the South Korean ideology. It’s okay. Almost all Koreans havent acknowledged this to me. I am not talking about both sides of the coin. Comparing two problems wont resolve anything. Koreans like seeing both sides of the coin. If you criticize them, they will say youre a racist bigot. Its alright. Not my problem with their usual lopsided arguments.

  15. rocketllamafootie on August 12th, 2009 at 8:13 pm

    Koreans treat …
Koreans treat Americans badly? Wow Koreans are actually more susceptible to courtesy to foreigners but now you’re talking as if Americans are like the minority group in Korea. 2002 speed skating? The “big deal” made by those events were by immature fools like you who constantly dwell on the internet. I guess you wouldn’t care about what dangerously and violently mistreating other nationals and ethnics is REALLY like.

  16. I am not saying …
I am not saying South Koreans are bad. Their nationalist ideas are infused in their minds. Their politicians and media continues the identity effect of what South Korea is and is going to be. I can say the current president is not liked by the South Koreans. They hate him. Hence, his approval ratings for favoring the Americans and cratering to rich Koreans.

  17. Listen, China is …
Listen, China is not a saint by any means. Their propaganda bullshit is harmful as well as South Korea’s. But because China is a huge danger, their propaganda can be a danger. Listen, I want Koreans to change but it’s going to be hard because of their nationalist ideas are so strong. I just wish they wouldnt treat Americans bad. After all, we are helping them.

  18. rocketllamafootie on August 12th, 2009 at 8:13 pm

wow ok I will not …
wow ok I will not even debate with a moron incapable of acknowledging true facts. Don’t you get it? Your simple generalization of an entire ethnic group and their issues of pride shows of your lack of logical mind. Now you’re telling me I don’t care to learn? LOL I’m more of a learned mind about both sides of the argument than you’ll ever be. From what I see, you will NEVER steer away from bigotry and baseless stubbornness. I just have an advice for you kid, don’t waste your life.

  19. They are the most …
They are the most nationalistic country in the world. This is for sure. About the Chinese, they want to take over the world. They want the Americans who are in debt to the Chinese, to become less of an economic power.

  20. It fuels hostility …
It fuels hostility among South Koreans themselves. They have political and social conflicts. Why was South Korea once called The “The republic of corruption” South Korea’s current president has ties to corruption though he denies it and hasnt been charged.

  21. Keep learning about …
Keep learning about your Eastern European history. I doubt it would make a dent into debating successfully about South Korea’s problems.

  22. You dont realize …
You dont realize the problems because you dont care to learn. If it doesnt hurt Korea’s pride, then they dont go about making a big issue about it. Thats what I mean.

  23. rocketllamafootie on August 12th, 2009 at 8:13 pm

    I’m not saying that …
I’m not saying that South Korea is not a nationalist country. In fact, I’ve never stated that. But to call them hypernationalist? No duh, nationalism fuels hostility against other countries, but the scale of violence and conflicts created by nationalism in other ethnic groups and nations dwarfs South Koreans protesting in their OWN country.
Give me a break man. The whole of China was in uproar when SBS released a footage of the olympics ceremony.

  24. South Korean anger …
South Korean anger and more anti-American sentiments against the Korean speed skater in the winter olympics 2002. Death threats were sent to the American. You can go on the the Korean gymnast. More anti-American sentiments were sent when got screwed over. Anger and disbelief occurred. It hurt South Korea’s national pride.

  25. rocketllamafootie on August 12th, 2009 at 8:13 pm

    It’s pointless to …
It’s pointless to debate with your rocky. By the way you talk, it’s obvious that you’re habit of flip flopping and twisting logic is a staple trait of rockymountain aka the sad ing internet whore.
