Take time to sort the good from the bad. That’s my first piece of advice.
Second, make sure when they show up, they look like they are on the ball. It’s NEVER too late to call of the show, and find a new gang to work with.
Third, keep a watch on them til the very last piece of furniture is properly positioned in the very last place. Then, and only then, can you give the head worked a handsome tip, a smile, and a wave goodbye!
