The programs called adware or spyware are there when you visit sites on the internet and you can often tell them because they use pop-up windows with attractive offers or images enticing you to click on their links. When you click on the link, you are then directed to their site. But once you visit the site you realize that it was only a trap. It is possible for your friends and contacts to unknowingly forward harmful links to your email account. But when the link is clicked, you can find that you have installed spyware without you or your friend knowing about it.
